Quandong Necklace
Quandong seeds are lovely things. They grow locally here with a bright red peel like covering when they are fully ripe. Some people make from the peel but it's an acquired taste I think. However the seeds reveal themselves as these wonderfully textured forms. I have 19 here in the necklace with 20 small spacer beads I have made in this lovely mustard colour. The little black seed beads are factory produced. As far as seed beads go they are the larger variety.
Largest quondong measures 26mm at the belly and they graduate in size down to 20mm.
Earrings made to match this are listed on a separate listing and they measure just over 20mm at the widest and overall from top of hook 51mm.
