Festive Colour Necklace

I think this is the most beautiful necklace I have made in a while.  

Each of these feature beads has a centre core of white opaque which is then covered by transparent colour.  The white core provides the perfect backdrop for the beautiful transparent selection.  After annealing the beads were treated to a matt finish making them silky soft and beautiful to touch.  Between the feature beads are eighteen lustre rounds reflecting beautiful oil slick colours.   I used very small onyx beads to slightly separate each hand made bead.

The clasp is also hand made from Stirling Silver.  I'm not the worlds best fabricator of Stirling Silver but I'm happy with its character and especially the heavy guage of the metal really matches the weight of the glass in the necklace.

The largest centre bead is 18.5mm with sizes reducing to 15mm and 13.5mm.  Spacer beads measure 9mm and 8.5mm.

Transparent colours are red, cobalt, aqua, purple, amber and sage green on repeat.

Necklace length is 18 inches.
