There's a thread of a pre-made reactive glass cane known as Raku around this pendant bead. I used black as a base and reactive colours as decoration. The reactive colours I use require heating and cooling to develop colour and its a game of chance and time to utilise the colour to it's best advantage. I like the warm mustard tones here with some blues and greens in the lined decoration. Supplied with a 20"/50cm twisted silk cord with a simple loop over knot fixture. The Stirling silver here has been given a dark patina which I thought suited the colours. The pendant would look nice worn with a chain with a similar patina, black leather or neoprene material at various lengths. I recommend experimenting.
Hand made in my Busselton studio in the southwest of Western Australia. Known as the Margaret River Region because of our close proximity to famous Margaret River although Busselton is equally famous for our wooden jetty stretching 1841 meters into the beautiful Geographe Bay.
